Welcome! If you found this page through your own interest of getting out of a slum and finding a refresh, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve discovered that oftentimes we are our own culprit of self sabotage, negativity, and depression. Once you enter a “I hate everything” mindset, it can be extremely hard to move forward, find the light, and feel spark. I think we all have been there in some moments, or even a moment right now. I’m here to tell you that it DOES NOT have to be this way, or last as long as it might have in the past. There’s hope for new beginnings, new friendships, new love, a new outfit, a new job, a new home, or even a new pet. The beauty of life is we are in control of it and no one can knock down what we ourselves build up.
Now let’s start with my own self experiences. I am an empath, so when I feel, I ~feel~. This can be good and bad. Good, because I experience the fullness and depth of my surroundings and situations. It allows me to let in goodness and happiness to full extent where I enjoy so much of my good moments I oftentimes could explode (in a good way). Bad though, because when a drop of negativity enters my life it becomes my worst downfall and consumes the best of me. Why express all of this you ask? Because if you’re an empath like me, you definitely understand what I’m saying here to its degree.
So what do we do as being an empath? I will say as a 25 year old I am still figuring it out, but I can share what is helping me in this very moment from a dark time that feels like it is slithering all around me. No cliche here, but you need to SPREAD OUT YOUR LIGHT. Let me show you how..
Vision Boards. I’ve always known about them, heard about them, knew the positives of them, but ultimately ignored them. They felt silly and a waste of time. Like why go through the effort of searching for aspirations you wish of your life all to feel defeated that you can’t obtain them? Well, says who?! You will obtain them. You will place on paper (or Canva) exactly what you want your life to be. You want to try handmade pasta in Italy? Place a photo of spaghetti in front of Lake Como on your board because you WILL try it. Want to get engaged in a year? Put your dream ring on your board! New job? Inspirational quote of who you are and what you are made to do and read it everyday. There is no one stopping you besides yourself from obtaining all these things and it is 100% possible if you put your mind to it.
Why is this really necessary? Entering my young adult era, most issues I’ve come to realize are because of our minds stopping us from getting what we want. Fear of rejection, not enough funds, not the right time, too much going on, etc. Our minds are such a powerful tool that they can literally shape who we are and what we become. If your mind is set on something negative, you will dwell on it and let it consume you. It will stop you from experiencing the best in life out of fear, guilt, sadness, or being unhappy. But, It is so important to focus on the good, the excitement, the celebration and laughter, because having this focus will let ultimately bring our dreams and aspirations to life. Our minds will get us ready for what is to come if we really shift our perspective.
Now maybe this blog is overwhelming you with advice you think is really not helping and a writing that’s a waste of time. Let me share with you my latest 2025 Vision Board that I created when I was in a dark time and let my thoughts tread and absolutely consume me.

Negative thought: I’ll never get to Paris because my husband and I need to save save save for a house = Positive turnaround: Search a Pinterest photo of the Eiffel tower and take that exact photo myself when I’m there one day
Negative thought: I will never own a home in this market = Positive turnaround: Place a photo of a couple enjoying their kitchen as newly homeowners that I will take with my husband once we own one ourselves
Negative thought: I feel like I never see my girlfriends, all of us working and having busy schedules keeps us apart: Positive Turnaround: Google friends having a pasta night together and place it on my vision board to remind myself to host once a month
Crafting this vision board together not only got me excited for the year, but liberated me to find motivation to leave my toxic job, shut out friends who were bad for me, and quit habits that were only leading to unhealthy results. Seeing on paper what my life could be all at once made me feel satisfaction and joy, because I actually could obtain it.
You are what you think. You can think of who you are… and become what you want to be. It really is just a mindset, and with love, patience, and kindness to yourself, you will find slowly that you are becoming the best version of yourself one thought at a time.
